Nollywood actress cum producer Chinny Okparaji has finally released the much talked about Igbo satire/comedy Aku-ako directed by Chinny and assistant director Jacob Ndukwe.

The actress turned director says the musical satirical comedy throws jibes at Igbos who try to be English more than the English man. The movie stars Chief Imo (Longinus Anokwute) Chinyere Okparaji, Chiwetalu Agu, Vitalis Ndubuisi, Nonye Asikogu and  Conac Umez. Akuako movie celebrates Igbo language and music. Shot in Orlu/ Isiekenesi dialect  Akuako the movie will be showing at the Orlu Regional Assembly convention in Atlanta Georgia in June 2018. The movie will serve as a campaign material for her 'Lets Speak Igbo' campaign in the diaspora.

Let's Speak Igbo campaign is a project run by Obigbo Center for Language and Cultural Survival, a non governmental organization ran by Chinny Okparaji. The movie Akuako is marketed and distributed by Diamond movies International.

Chinny Okparaji said that Directing has always been her area of interest even before she ventured into acting but she was afraid to venture into directing in a men dorminated domain but was inspired by Omoni Oboli and Kemi Adetiba Nollywood female directors who are giving the men a run for their job.
Chinyere says she is determined to tell African stories that will showcas indegenousity and originality.
