NELSON AGUBUOKWU: Making Of A Rising Nollywood Actor

At the turn of every year, the entertainment wagon anticipates the influx of virgin talents expected to enrich the already booming industry. They say, hard work, persistence, consistency and grace, merged with talent are the major catalysts to a very successful career in this field.

So, its yet an interesting and inspiring moment, as we discuss the rise of one of the fast rising, and talented nollywood actor, Nelson Agubuokwu. The handsome, and baritone voiced actor made his acting debut in the movie " VISION FOR DESTINY" in the year 2012, staring alongside veteran nollywood actor, Amechi Muonago. It was after his exploits on set with Chief Muonago, that the nollytwood veteran described the young Nelson as "A GEM, SOON TOO EXPLODE".

Coming from from a strictly religous and diplomatic family, he was deprived of encouragement from his root, as his family rarely regards showbiz as a worthwhile endeavor. Nelson however sticked to his guns, and persisted on a career he described as his "FIRST LOVE".Hence it became clear to him, that success is the only criteria to pass his career message, warranting him to work further hard to carve a niche for himself in the already exaggerated movie industry.

Nelson's upsurge in  the industry took an impressive turn in 2014, when he landed the lead role in the movie, "CALABAR HIGH SCHOOL", Produced by Mr Tlucky Chukwu. The movie eventually paraded the nollywood market, attracting a wide range of acceptance, especially due to his natural and realistic role interpretation pattern. He quickly followed this up with the feature film titled "FISH", where he represented in the capacity of a Co-Producer, as well as interpreting one of the supporting roles in the movie.

In 2016, Nelson set up an independent entertainment outfit, which he called "AFROMOTION KONCEPT", which according to him 'will serve as a vehicle to exploit the uniqueness of the African continent, in most cases, from an epic eye'.However, recent reports suggests that he is working on a lucrative, native movie project, titled 'TODAY'S YESTERDAY'.

Considering his young age, Mr Nelson #teamnelson# as his fans qoutes him, is indeed a package to look out for, as evidence of his potentials has been waving at the industry for the past few years. Meanwhile, he is a degree holder from Imo State University, Owerri, where he graduated from the Sociology Department...
